Your first physics simulation video in five minutes

Aggiornato il 13 settembre 2026

Simbounce runs entirely in the browser. You open the editor, watch the simulation happen, adjust whatever you want and export the file on the spot. This guide takes the shortest path to a first video; the other guides explain why it comes out the same every time and how to find a variation that ends well.

Passo dopo passo

  1. 01

Open the editor and pick a scene

Go to app.simbounce.com. The editor opens with a simulation already running. Switch the scene in the picker: Shrinking circle and Escape the ring are the fastest way to a video with a climax; Ball bouncing in a circle is the classic scene of the format.

  2. 02

Change one parameter at a time

In the parameter panel, drag Balls, Gravity and Restitution and watch the effect immediately — the simulation restarts from zero on every change. Change one thing at a time: that is how you learn what each control does to the silhouette of the video.

  3. 03

Change the seed until you like the ending

The seed is the number that decides the variation: same scene, same parameters, another seed, another video. Type another value or use the Good seeds search, which simulates dozens of variations without drawing and ranks the ones whose climax lands closest to the end. It costs nothing.

  4. 04

    Listen before you export

In the Sound panel, turn on preview sound. Every collision plays a note of the chosen scale; change the scale, the root note and the instrument until the track fits the scene. What you hear is what goes into the file.

  5. 05

    Export the MP4

In the Export panel, keep the vertical resolution, choose the frames per second and click export. The file is encoded in your browser, faster than real time, and ends at the scene's natural finish if it comes before the maximum duration. The download starts by itself.

What you get

A vertical MP4 with an audio track synced to the collisions, frame for frame the same as the preview you watched. On the free plan the file carries a discreet watermark; the videos are yours and can be used commercially.

Nothing is uploaded to any server along this path. Simulation, sound and encoding happen on your machine — which is why there is no queue, no export limit and no cost.

If the browser cannot encode video

Older browsers and Firefox on Android lack the video encoder the export uses. The editor detects this and offers the server render, which requires an account and credits and returns the file in minutes. The export guide explains when that is worth it.

Keeping what you made

Without an account, your work stays in the browser and disappears if you clear the site's data. To keep it, sign in with the magic link sent to your email and save the project — what is stored is the recipe, scene, seed and parameters, not the video. Work done without an account migrates on its own at the first sign-in.

To send someone the exact variation, use Copy recipe link: whoever opens the link sees the same video, with no account and no database in the way.
